Being in this profession and being aware of the regualtions, licensing reqirments, accreditation and docs visits proves that these reqirments are not as effective as everybody thinks. These children have been put through uneccessary situations although accidents do happen but not to this level. In argument for the profession, it is very difficult circumstances throughout the day with ratio levels, parent help (even applying sunscreen when they arrive, as in summer you are already outside playing), the poor level of pay we receive and limited support with children with behaviour problems and other disorders. There are not just children being hurt but staff as well and who ever hears about that.Sadly these incidents and the childcare staff that dont follow rules and allow these things to happen are very quickly damaging the already strugglying profession... -
