He's right on target. If you learn about the GRID power companies have mega watts they dump at night. They can't turn down a coal plant or nuclear and we get over 50% from coal and 20% from nuclear. If you have a grid tied solar system like me you help reduce loads during peak time of day and use the wasted excess at night they can use. Why do you think they off Time Of Day rates off hours. Plug-ins are smart and cost effective. Or you can keep buying 60% of your oil from the middle east. -

This kid is kidding himself if he thinks electric cars are going to free to power. Where does the power come from. Who pays for electricity. Things are often forgotten when musing about not having to pay for gas anymore. This is going to require sweeping change which if it is a solid plan won't go into affect for another 15-20 years. -

Where is all this electricity for plug in cars coming from? Seems to me the power grid can't even keep up with a hot summer when we all tourn on the air conditioners. Bottom line remains, you can't get something from nothing. -
