i do like this trailer it looks exictent but its the film looks stupid 1 captain kirk wasn't the oringal captain of the enterprise captain pike . 2 mistake is that he called the uss enterprise a the enterprise a was the second ship to be called enterprise . if the director had his rescearch he would know these facts -

I agree, this trailer gave me goosebumps the 1st time i watched it! i think it is going to be a great film! I love star trek, and i'm really interested to see how SPock and Kirk became such good friends. Zachery looks awesome as Spock, much better than i expected, and i think this is going to be one of the suprise hits of next year! Don't know why people are putting it down before they've even seen anything more than the trailer! Don't judge a book by its cover! BUt i will be 1st in the queue to see it! -

oh and just an comment on the actors. Leonard Nimoy? Tell me ANYONE in the world who looks like that man?? This isnt putting him down in anyway, but to say his look is anything other than 'unique' is just wrong. They have done fantastic with their choice of Spock and I would say to some extent the other crew. If we all look back on old pictures, how many of us actually Look just like we did? Certainly some, but not all of us. Some people change drastically when they grow up. how would we know really what these people looked like? I think top job to be honest. But what do I know Im not a casting school authority. lol -

I could probably quote lines from nearly every Trek episode made, Im not a geek, I appreciate fine TV and Trek has given us that finest ever for decades and thats not debatable. What is, is whether you like it or not. Most people dont get past the 'trek geek' stigma enough to actually watch it and enjoy it. This film? Its gotta look upto date. Enterprise managed it well enough, upto date but still not too hi tech to surpass the old. Its us, the viewers who need to move on from that. Technology now is much better than 30 years ago. Effects are much better. to keep something in the past in terms of FX is just pointless. Lets just enjoy this, the trailer looks awesome and its been a hell of a long time since we saw any new trek on the screen. peace people. -

"the ship looks to hi-tech" For goodness sake get yourself out of the 1970s man. How can a ship capable of warp speed, teleportation and god knows what else look 'too hi-tech'. And quite frankly I couldn't care less if the new cast don't look anything like the old. This film is for a new generation of scifi and Star Trek fans, not a remake of the first film. I think the trailer is good and I look forward to it's release. -

Dear god that looks terrible.. i mean Apart from the ship and the names of the cast it has nothing to do with star trek. Is the only reson they are buying into the franchise to get peoples attention?? Common, at least man up and say its just a normal scifi film, and stop calling trying to con people into seeing it by calling it something it isnt. -
