I think people are just way too sensitive. -

*heart* at boblikesapples. But erm, anyone else notice the most important thing about these images? As a white skinned blond chicks, the models look somewhat ok, if a bit way too thin for my tastes. However, they make really horrible darker skinned chicks. :S Seriously Vogue, if you're going to go out of your way to darken the models skin tones, at least take a model that'll make it work. xD -

wow, lill_hottiemm... you sound so well informed. "Thats normal because we black, and others races, have been abused, bullied, made slaves by white races all over the glove" QUOTE. I guess it wouldn't be important to mention that the slave trade had been around for thousands of years before americans bought african slaves (from other africans mind you) via the slave routes that have plagued europe, the middle east, asia, and africa well before 'white people' were even present in the U.S.A. Having said that, 'white people' aren't the only people with slaves. Black people have had slaves, asians have had slaves, and the middle easterns have had slaves (cough pyramids cough). So go read some history books please and quit making ME, innocent me, look like white devil because this fashion model has her face painted brown. PEACE. -

the movie "white chicks" was funny yeah ? if this move by vogue has offended you you are all ridiculously stupid -

I really don't see the problem. I didn't even know dressing up white people in black skin had a name. I mean its not like the pictures are offensive. -
canadian_kittykat
People have a right to say and wear what they want. It's a little thing called freedom. People shouldnt be offended, they can do the same thing. People who are easily offended should stop whining and live out their lives in the safety of their basement where they can pretend everyone looks, dresses and acts like them. We are not equal, we are all different, and that is amazing. Don't trample that by saying what someone wears is wrong. -

Hmm, it has been awhile since I’ve read so much ignorance in one place...I would address some of it, but I’m truly at a loss for words. -
leftside_honey44
No i don't think they crossed the line, did "americas next top models" not just have a photoshoot where the girls had their skin painted black? is there a difference? -
bugaboo181
I do agree that society thinks that contraversy is good for sales. I for one though do not need nor have any inclination to purchase something I know is just wrong. Shame on you Vogue...you cannot tell me you do not make enough money being honorable and respecting your fellow humans. -

Who cares if she painted her skin? Dave chapelle does it in his show all the time and acts like a white news reporter, If she painted her skin black that means she thinks it looks good? Take it as a compliment you dumb gorillas instead of pulling the racism card you hypocritical apes -
i_amSteve
what? we can paint our faces like Kiss why not like a black person -
CanChavez1
What? But what about the movie White Chicks? And when Dave Chapelle imitates white people? Isn't that the same? lol America is so hypocritical Just pick a side and stick to it -
Terry_Fubar
"Ignited a sensitive topic of race" Why is this even a sensitive topic? As far as I'm concerned race is non existent in such a globalized world. People really are pathetic to be angered by something like this. It's just like throwing out the "N" word. Why is that word such a big deal? In the past yes, but now a days who could care less, famous black artists certainly do not, perhaps they've come to the conclusion that the "N" word is really just a word, just like the "F" word. -
uhlig_balls
american people gotta stop being pushed around by this fear of political correctness. It's so over the top that it's pathetic really. Notice how the lady said everywhere else it's no big deal...only in America? If black people painted their faces white and danced funny on TV in America would there even be a story? When will we have to stop paying for past mistakes. Get over it! -
Joplinesque1966
It's only cause she's white. If she were asian would we care? Probably not as much -
Cassnoop
It would be racism if they painted her black to make her look ugly. Do they not watch Top Model? In Canada, America, and Scottland Top Model they ALWAYS do an ethnic spread where they make people different races. -
LexiFatale-1
WOW! How is this racism? If anything it's sort of funny. The French were criticized for not having enough black models and since France is a country of Europeans and doesn't have a sizeable black minority they improvised, and honestly I think the photos look really good. It's not like the French were trying to portray black people negatively. I think minorities will just try to find any excuse to play the racism card. This is why I can't stand North Americans, too stupid, time to move to Europe!Vive la France! -
ne-da-placham
Any chance to whine about racism. You look at black television they make so many racist jokes against other races. You see that happen with white people they are crying about racism and making a huge deal about it. -
«ŞĥőŴ˚ρθПЎ»
There soo stupid! Just get ACTUA black people, instead of painting white people black. Dont you think if they got black people and painted them white it would be stupid? See same thing. -
AfuaOteng
It's ridiculous. This is an art form, not some big plot to p i ss off black people. -
LeaT124
OH yeah, try to get a racism against blacks and other minorities passed they damn near tear your arm off trying to get it passed as fast as they can. Try the same bill but for racism against whites, you're told to "suck it up" and "deal with it". -
asdasdasdasdasdsaas
When white people do black face, it's "OMG racism!" but when black people do "white face" it's all shits and giggles... Same thing with the N word, most white guys I know don't even dare use it cause it's racist, but blacks call themselves it all the damn time. You would never catch a white guy calling him and his fellow white friends "Cracker" Where is the REAL racism? -
asdasdasdasdasdsaas
Wow. This is the dumbest BS I've heard in a long time. -
ErinAlmighty
God that's ridiculous.. people see "controversies" everywhere where there's nothing to be worried about -
stone5against1
Minoritys? There are more black people than there will ever be white people, hahaha, same with every other race, WE as white people are a minority, just not so spread out, people need to get their heads out of their asses and let racism die already. ffs -
TheCalmWithinTheStorm
GET OVER IT -
aikeno777
racism only exists when there is either hate, or the offended. if youre not black, you dont really have reason to be offended. if youre black, and offended, youre keeping racism alive in your own heart. from what i see, this was done out of love, as an attempt to reach out to a community. repression and hate are colourless and raceless, 'racism' is racist in itself. focus on the real problems. -
TODDEATSBABIESlol
Ummm... didn't Tyra Banks do a photo shoot like this in last week's episode of America's Next Top Model? It was probably not meant to be offensive but a new trend in fashion. -
AshleyMichelle1616
Also, everyone says they want to live in a world without racism. Movies like "White Chicks" are racist against white people (not that I was offended) Also, minorities, who support things like are only widening the gap between races. Its not equell. A black person can feel proud to be black, but a white person cannot feel proud to be white. If I say I'm proud of my pale complexion, I'm automatically a racist. Other races say they want to be treated equally, then they have to stop treating themselves differently. We're all equal. -
almightynikooru
I have to disagree. I'm positive that the images werent meant to be offensive. It seems this was just a publicity stunt, or someone trying to be artsy. I also noticed they only had white people commenting on this. If they're so concerned about hurting the feelings of Africian Americans, why don't they ask one? -
almightynikooru
What about the move "White Chicks" no one said anything about that What about BET television? Try to open up a channel called WET television. Harry, smarten up. Dont be a pushover. -
